Prawns Kairi Masala – Maachli Farmstay

Its a quarantine time and everyone is thinking of coming up with nice creative ideas of cooking. Prawns Kairi Masala.

As the Name suggests its a perfect seasonal blend of prawns and raw mango which makes it exquisite regional delicacy and nature diet..My Mother Mrs Priya Samant has got everything that makes the dish stunningly delectable..right from organic produces that grow in our own farm,traditional methods,volcanic water from our own well and lot of love and passion that is put in while making it..You can still try it in your own house even if you can not cook on chulla or use volcanic water..

Requesting all the Vegetarians not to dishearten as many other things are yet to come which would include vegetarian delicacies too.

Ingredients

Prawns – 300 gm

Onions- 2 nos

Green chilies- 5 to 6

Raw Mangoes- half bowl sliced

Scraped Coconut- 1 bowl

Red Chili Powder- 15 gm( 3 tea spoon)

Turmeric Powder- 5 gm ( 1 tea spoon)

omg… those earthen pots… that authetic chulha cooking… those fresh ingrdients… I wanted to be locked down in Maachli forever.. pure nostalgia.. can wait to be back at parule to njy this kind of meal by the river side with ur cat accompanying us….

Prathamesh, this is a great way to connect with your guests and keep them longing for more from your farm. Wonderful to see your mom prepare this delicacy which looks so simple and so delicious. I will try this one day, after the lockdown. My daughter is a veggie, so for now, I will prepare this with bhaingan/eggplant or mushrooms. Let me see how it turns out.
